Being an Emissary also increases the Gold and Reputation gains for selling Crates. Alternatively, Crews can choose to sell any acquired Crates to the Reaper’s Bones Representative at The Reaper’s Hideout instead.
The Alliance will accept any Crates, Gunpowder Barrels or Mermaid Gems for Gold and Reputation with the Company, willing to pay almost 10 times as much for any Commodities that are sold on Commission.
If Crews have an active Crate of Wood Trade Good Commission in their Map Radial Menu, they can sell a Wood Crate to the specified Senior Trader for nearly double its Gold, Reputation and Emissary Value.
To sell a commodity to a Merchant Alliance leader, simply carry the commodity crate to them and select the option to sell it to them.
We cover all the major liquid bulk commodities traded globally – from crude oils and condensates to diesel and gasoil, fuel oil, gasoline, jet fuel, naphtha and LPG – and pride ourselves on providing visibility into more unique grades of shipped crude oil and condensates than any other information provider can offer.
Once you buy a Resource Crate from an Outpost, it will be out of stock for your crew until three days later in-game — this roughly translates to about one real-life hour. Restocks will come at 6 AM in-game time, but you can also buy these supply crates at other Outposts if need be.

Unlike the other Resource Crates, Storage Crates can carry every single type of Resource Item in the game and cannot be sold or acquired as part of Trade Good Commissions.
Islands and Outposts
Cargo takes the form of barrels scattered across the island. The same goes for the outposts as well. While you can buy new clothes and weapons, you will also find wooden planks, cannon balls, and bananas in barrels at outposts.
Simple buisness: You go to the merchant, buy the crate you want to sell stuff of for lets say 200 Gold. You fill that Crate (50 units) and sell it back to the Merchant.
Most treasures can only be sold at one corresponding Trading Company, but others can be sold to almost any Trading Company! For pirates who have just washed ashore in the Sea of Thieves, it can be difficult keeping track of what goes where. Bumbling aimlessly around the Outposts can mean lost time.
Food splits into three main categories in Sea of Thieves: fruit, meat, and fish. Fruit can’t be sold and there is no gain from cooking it. Just enjoy your fruit au naturel. Meat comes from the various creatures that inhabit Sea of Thieves.
Though you’ll pick up this cargo in the Devil’s Roar, you may not always deliver it to within the Devil’s Roar. Devil’s Roar Cargo are also special varieties of those cargo items- worth roughly double their regular value (100 up to 700 gold), but also more fragile.
