When Rare Candy is used to revive and level up a Pokémon, it will have either 2 HP remaining or its remaining HP will equal to the amount its maximum HP increased (except Shedinja, which will always be revived with its maximum 1 HP). The Rare Candy is consumed upon use.

Going through raids is one of the most consistent ways of obtaining more Rare Candy. There’s a Raid type for all difficulty levels, and you may even have some Rare Candy stacked from your old Raid runs. Considering Raids are available all year, they’ll be the most reliable way of obtaining Rare Candies.
Before going into the mazes, walk all the way to the northwest corner of the courtyard to find a Guard Spec. Then, walk to the middle of the courtyard and examine the north side of the fountain to find a Rare Candy.
After clearing the game and unlocking the Wyndon Battle Tower, you will be able to purchase rare candies for 20 BP each at the Hammerlocke BP shop. TMs, bottle caps, mints, and held items can also be bought there.
Rare Candies provide no Stat Exp; Pokémon who are raised using this item will therefore tend to be weaker than those who are trained in battle. If you’ve used Rare Candies on some of your Pokémon, don’t worry.

Getting more Candy comes down to simply catching as many Pokémon as possible. Capturing a wild Pokémon can reward you with 3, 5 or 10 Candies, depending on what stage of evolution it is. With the Pinap Berry, you can double this number and earn up to a whopping 20 Candies in one capture.

Choose a Fossil
The two fossil Pokemon of the Kalos region are Amaura and Tyrunt. Amaura can be revived from the Sail Fossil, and Tyrunt can be revived from the Jaw Fossil. One can be chosen from a scientist in Glittering Cave.
