Like the first game, Shadow of War takes place in the 60 years or so between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Bilbo keeps the One Ring in the Shire.Oct 31, 2017
Shadow of War continues the previous game’s narrative, which is based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s legendarium and set in between the events of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings film trilogies, from which the game takes inspiration.
This occurs in the year 2942 of the Third Age, so we can assume that, the developers having no reason to deviate from this date, Shadow of Mordor begins in 2942.
The biggest bombshell from Shadow of War comes at the end when we learn Talion’s ultimate fate: Talion becomes one of the Nazgul. After he’s abandoned by Celebrimbor, Talion begins to die. His only option is to take Isildur’s Ring, which he uses in the final fight against Sauron.
“No, Talion appears only as a game character, in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War. … Even characters that appear in LotR are presented differently in the games. For instance, Celebrimbor was never a wraith, and he had nothing to do with the making of the One.”
After the destruction of the One Ring by Frodo Baggins and the destruction of Sauron, Talion finally died a true death, through which his spirit was freed and he moved on to the afterlife.
24,000 years old
The closest approximation of Gandalf’s physical age is 24,000 years old, according to Gandalf himself. Yet, various dates of key events in other Tolkien texts show that Gandalf has actually only walked in his physical form for just over two thousand years.May 30, 2021
The term Middle-earth canon, also called Tolkien’s canon, is used for the published writings of J. R. R. Tolkien regarding Middle-earth as a whole.
Celebrimbor expressed disdain, saying Talion should have forgotten about him and defeated Sauron *for both their sake. * But he wanted his friend back and he would have died to see him free (without the ring, and without a wraith, Talion would die due to the ritual at the Black Gate in the first game.)
At some point in the (quite okay) video game War in the North the player and their companions barter with a dragon (Urgost). The game is set during the events of the LotR, so obviously the game’s story cannot be considered canon in that regard.
Aragorn is a direct-line, unbroken, father-to-son descendant of Elendil through his older son and heir, Isildur, and Isildur’s only surviving son Valandil. Talion would have to be similarly related to Elendil through his other son Anarion, and Anarion’s heir Meneldil. There’s no evidence of such.
Talion + Isil ring is above witch king. Even if we say the light of Galadriel gives the same amp as a ring of power (which it doesn’t), Eltariel + Galadriel Light is usually on the losing end of her fights with the Witch king. That suggests that base talion is at-least equal to her.
He’s not a ring wraith. The ringwraiths/Nazgul are enslaved by the rings Sauron gave them, hence the name. Celebrimbor is just the really, really angry ghost of an Elf.
There are 21 huge provinces in the game, with 26 boss characters, and an open world that pretty much allows you to do anything you want. That game could easily take 50 to 100 hours to play, depending on your play style.
Shadow of Mordor may not have official mod support, but that doesn’t stop fans from trying to come up with some. … Sadly, Shadow of Mordor is a notoriously difficult game to mod meaning that there aren’t too many options when it comes to freshening up the experience.
Celebrimbor, the last direct descendant of of the Fëanor, died from his injuries. Bless. Alright, now that I have your lesson for the day out of the way, in the latest story trailer for Shadow of Mordor, the Wraith bound to protagonist Talion is revealed to be Celebrimbor.Jul 26, 2014
