Almost every Pokémon in the franchise has multiple abilities along with a Hidden Ability. However, players cannot find Pokémon with their Hidden Abilities in the wild or through breeding (unless the parent has the ability), including in Sword and Shield.
As you all know, @Androziel has fixed the pokeradar and it’s possible to get Hidden Abilities (HAs) pokemons now.
The eggs will have a chance of having the Hidden Ability. As of X and Y, if you breed a female with a hidden ability the eggs have around a 80% chance of having the hidden ability. With a male you have to breed it with Ditto only if you want the eggs to have a chance of having the hidden ability.
Pokémon encountered in the Friend Safari have approximately a 1 in 3 chance of having their Hidden Ability if the Friend to whom the Friend Safari corresponds has been recognized as a Friend in the PSS (i.e. if both players have been on the PSS at the same time).
You’ll gain access to the Ability Patch almost as soon as you load up the game — provided you have access to the Crown Tundra. Unlike the Ability Capsule, you can’t buy it with BP from the Battle Tower. It’s sold by a vendor inside the Max Lair instead, requiring the new Dynite Ore currency to purchase.
Contrary as a hidden ability.
Raid Battle vs Sylveon With Pixilate At Lake Of Outrage
Go to the Lake of Outrage & find a den located nearby the lake. If you see a purple pillar of light coming out, you have a chance to find Sylveon with its hidden ability.
First, Pokémon in Hordes and Pokémon found within Friend Safari each have a small chance of having their Hidden Ability. As such, you’ll need to try Horde Battles or Friend Safari in order to get one with Sheer Force.
Players will be able to use the Ability Patch to change a Pokémon’s Ability to its Hidden Ability (if it has one). This item will not allow a Pokémon to retroactively change its Ability back to a regular Ability, but it’s likely that the Ability Capsule that currently exists in the game will be able to do that.
If you choose froakie as a starter, evolve it into Greninja. Then just breed until you get the ability you like. Again, as tazzie said protean seems to more popular than torrent so your bound to find one on GTS.
You can’t breed them. Ditto can’t breed with undiscovered Pokémon and other Dittos.
If the mother (or Ditto) is holding an Everstone, the baby has a 50% chance of inheriting the mother’s Nature.
Once you grab your good IV Pokémon from a raid or get a Ditto with good IVs, the goal is to make a Pokémon with at least five perfect IVs. To get a parent Pokémon to pass down IVs, give it a Destiny Knot to hold. This passes down five of their IVs to their child, randomly.
You need to use other methods if you want to breed.
Do you need two Destiny Knots when breeding in Pokemon? No. Only one parent Pokemon needs to be holding a Destiny Knot in order to influence the inherited IVs of the eggs that are produced.
The easiest way to get a Grookey is to trade with a friend. Breed an extra Scorbunny or Sobble, whichever you picked, and trade it for a friend’s Grookey. If you don’t have a friend who’s willing to trade, you’ll have to turn to the internet.
|Effect||When used on a Pokémon, its Ability will change to its species’ Hidden Ability, if it has one.|
Contrary (あまのじゃく Contrary) is an ability naturally exclusive to Inkay and Malamar, introduced in Generation V. Nine Pokémon have this ability.
Lurantis is a good utility choice for teams with its decent defensive typing, good support options, access to the ability Contrary and most importantly access to Defog.
