about 6 Hours
When focusing on the main objectives, Spec Ops: The Line is about 6 Hours in length. If you’re a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 15½ Hours to obtain 100% completion.
Endings. There are four possible endings.
Spec-Ops: The Line banned in the United Arab Emirates for destroying Dubai (probably) … While it isn’t unusual for a game to still be available in the country after it’s been banned, UAE censor are cracking down hard on The Line, even blocking access to a demo 2K put out in advance of the release.
To anyone who has played the game, you will remember that there are many instances in which the the player can make a choice, but ultimately the choices don’t matter.
n. 1. A military or paramilitary unit trained to carry out special operations. 2. Special Forces A branch of the US Army composed of soldiers trained in special operations.
At the end of “Spec Ops: The Line,” you’re faced with the apparant apparition of John Konrad, the man responsible for the defection of the Damned 33rd. He holds you at gunpoint, and you have the choice of either shooting him or allowing him to shoot you. My question is simple.
However, at the game nears its final scenes, you discover the twist. Walker stumbles across Konrad’s decaying corpse, and it turns out Walker has been suffering from a dissociative disorder that used the hallucination of Konrad to rationalise his actions.
Save Lugo. Move up the stairs and head to the closest room. DO NOT SHOOT the guard standing there because it would lead to the death of Lugo. Approach mentioned person, watch a short cut-scene and then jump over sandbags (left SHIFT), running a-cross the guard and making him fall down over the railing.
It’s a “hero” fantasy at its finest, but Spec Ops: The Line helps you open your eyes to what these games have done to gamer’s attitude towards war and civilian causalities. … The further you progress through the game, the more hopeless your situation becomes and the more the game mocks you for still playing.
Captain Martin Walker is the main protagonist villain of the 2012 videogame Spec Ops: The Line.
It absolutely deserves to be played; go into it knowing nothing, and you’ll get the most out of it. To steal a line from one of my favorite reviewers, if you don’t feel it’s worth your money, I can almost promise you that Spec Ops: The Line is worth your time.
Training for special operations is more demanding than its requirements. … While Army Green Beret training is extraordinarily demanding, the overall consensus is that Navy SEAL training is the most challenging of any elite ops group in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Externalised Morality in Video Games. Moral choices within games are thus shallow and lack the ability to truly offer us an opportunity to reflect on the actions we have taken. … Rather than offering insight, they instead cheapen and simplify nuanced topics and concepts.
Concern for the Well-Being of Others
According to researchers, empathy, and compassion for others are key variables that contribute to heroic behavior. … People who engage in acts of heroism have concern and care for the people around them and they are able to feel what those in need of help are feeling.
Walker shows great respect for Konrad and expresses strong feelings of trust towards him throughout the game. As the game progresses, Walker’s mental stability slowly begins to deteriorate under the psychological strain caused by the repeated atrocities he and his squad are responsible for committing.

Juggernauts are the primary reason that Spec Ops Missions are difficult. They take a lot to stop and they can kill entire squads instantly without if players don’t prepare for them correctly. … The main strategy to get rid of Juggernauts is to first have one player use a Riot Shield to absorb all of their fire.
In a medium that presently fosters an influx of shooting games, especially those with a military setting, games like Spec Ops: The Line break away from conventions set by its contemporaries. Unfortunately, the title will not be getting a sequel anytime soon and it’s not due to lacklustre sales.
About 74 years (1947)
Nolan North is the voice of Captain Martin Walker in Spec Ops: The Line.
[Spec Ops The Line] Captain Walker died in the helicopter crash at the beginning of the game, everything after that is his own personal hell. Actually, the helicopter crash happened towards the middle/end of the game. The “beginning” of the game is a flashback.
