In this guide, we’ll show you the exact locations of all 100 Cat Shines, as well as information on how to obtain them and what happens when you bag every single one.Jul 7, 2021
How many Bowser’s Fury Cat Shines are there? Some lucky people have already gotten to preview the game and have noted that there are a total of 100 Cat Shines to collect. … Players can run through Bowser’s Fury solo or in two player co-op.
You will have to do this a total of four times before the fight is over, although things will get progressively a little more difficult. Bowser will do his fire breath more often, while also sending out a lot more blocks as torpedoes.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Bowser’s Fury is a separate adventure from Super Mario 3D World, so you can play them in any order. To learn more or purchase the Super Mario™ 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game, visit the official site.
That’s right, Fury Bowser can be summoned, but you must scan a Bowser amiibo. It doesn’t matter which, there are three Bowser amiibo across the Super Smash Bros., Super Mario, and Super Mario Odyssey sets, and then there are more from the Skylanders crossover.
Once you have gained 15 Cat Shines, you can challenge Fury Bowser to a rematch at either the Lakeside or Ruins Giga Bell. Note that after losing half of his health, he will retreat, and you must face him again after claiming 20 Cat Shines to fully win the fight.
You’ll only need to collect 50 Shines to “beat the game.” Collecting all of them will earn you a different ending and of course, bragging rights.
With the Cat Bell equipped, take a running jump and climb all the way up the grate to find a hidden wooden alcove, and wait for the grate to flip so you can wall jump to it. Similar to the first, the second shard can be found at the second long grate you encounter on the island.
Check out our guides to find the Cat Shine Shards on Scamper Shores, Fort Flaptrap, Pounce Bounce Isle, Slipskate Slope, Clawswipe Colosseum, Trickity Tower, Crisp Climb Castle, Risky Whisker Island, Pipe Path Tower, Mount Magmeow, Rolling Roller Isle, and Fur Step Island.
If you wait for Fury Bowser, he’ll create platform you can walk across, otherwise you can jump for it. The final collectible is near the lighthouse, hidden underneath the large bouncepad you used to get there. Once again you’ll have to leave Pounce Bounce Isle and return in order to get Shine 15.
Bowser has kidnapped all of the Sprixies, and it’s up to Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and a blue Toad to save them. Collect coins, defeat enemies, use a Super Bell power-up to become a cat, and platform your way through this vibrant adventure.
You don’t need to unlock either game first as they are both available from the start. If you’d like to hop between the two games, that’s also possible. While the games share many of the same assets, they’re rather different from each other.
Bowser is portrayed as the “King of the Koopas”, anthropomorphic turtles that inhabit the world of the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser differs greatly from the rest of the Koopa clan, which consists mainly of bipedal tortoises.
